Edmond Hall – Caravan

During a lesson with Tim Price, he had me listen to Edmond Hall. At first, I thought (and said) , “That sounds like Bob Wilbur.”

It wasn’t – it’s a great solo by Edmond Hall on Duke Ellington’s tune – Caravan.

Check out his use of dynamics. The piece builds into the last bridge, where Hall blows over it and then takes it home.

Enjoy!
